Greece: Sunday, February 23, 2009 at age 86. Predeceased by his son, Kurt T. Pleckan. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Genevieve (Goodlein) Pleckan; children, Bruce Pleckan, Daniel K. (Lynda) Pleckan, Susan Cameron, Christopher Pleckan, Timothy (Julie) Pleckan & Robert Pleckan; grandchildren, Faith, Jason, Jennel, Aaron, Brandon, Jackie, Christopher, Sierra, Kurt, Noah & Jacob; great-grandchildren, Keeley, Mireya, JayJay, Nayana & Julian; sister, Pearl Oleksyn; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many dear friends. Daniel is a Veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Thursday 10 A.M. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 15 Saint Martin’s Way. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Name of Jesus Church or School of the Holy Childhood in his memory.
Aunt Gen, I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing the two of you smiling together, even after 60 years. Our thoughts are with you and the family. Uncle Danny, I will miss you much. Love, Karen, John and Nicky
