Rochester: Friday, February 20, 2009. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Anna T. Oliver. He is survived by his sons, Lawrence (Jean) Oliver and David (Ann) Oliver; daughter, Sharon (Allan) Kaplan; sister, Anna Conway of Bolivar, NY; grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Jill, Amy and Rachel; loving friends, Kurt, Bill, John, Joanne, Karen and Jessica. Edwin graduated from Allentown-Union High School in Allentown, NY. Edwin served his country with valor and distinction during World War II and the Korean War. He worked at Eastman Kodak Company in the Paper Finishing Department for over 25 years. The family wishes to thank Dr. John McCabe for his many years of wonderful care to our father. Also many thanks to Dr. Zaky, Dr. Kim, and the compassionate nurses, staff and doctors of the 3300 Unit at Unity Park Ridge Hospital. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7 PM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Disabled Veteran’s Association or the charity of your choice.
Dave – My heart goes out to you and your family for your loss. I remember sitting with you in the w/u’s of the machines and talking about the good times you had with your Dad. I know you truely loved him and was happy you had such a good relationship. He may be gone from here but he will always be with you in your memories and heart. God bless.
