Barb and family- I can’t tell you how very sorry I am to hear about Tommy’s passing. I know it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you, but you are always part of my life. My fondest memory of Tommy is sitting at his kitchen table playing Eucher late into the night. It was a favorite game – and always a lot of fun. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I was closer so I could be there with you on Wednesday. Know that I will be with you in my heart. Much love to all of you, Carol

Barb, I won’t begin to say I know how you feel, but I know the kind of relationship you and Tom have had and my heart is heavy for you. Tom was one of the kindest, gentlest men I knew and I will always remember his warm greetings of a hug and kiss on the cheek. He lived life to the fullest and always had a ‘smile’ in his voice. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Barb–It is a shock to hear of the loss of your wonderful husband, Tom. I remember the warm days that I would run into you and Tom on my way to and from the MCH cafeteria. Sometimes, I would see you and Tom sitting under the picnic shelter eating your lunch and enjoying the warm summer breeze. I’m so sorry to hear of his sudden death. I hope your days will be filled with love, laughter, and good memories with fellow employees and friends to rid the sorrow that now overtakes your life. God bless, take care of yourself, and I’ll see you next week.

Dear Barb, How very sad to hear of Toms passing. There are not many finer men than Tom, and I will never forget how he mentored me at my first ‘real job’ – riding with him on patrol, listening to his stories and jokes…always a warm heart and good word. I know that you will miss him dearly. I haven’t seen him in years and I miss him too. I hope that your cherished memories give you comfort. Toni

We all hope to lighten the pain and burden a bit for you – by knowing how much we care. Tom was an amazing man. We will all miss his pleasent, genrous and caring presence. We love you. 20. Sally (Woods) & Pat Lupiani on September 28, 2012 at 12:00 am

Dear Barb: You know how much we love you both, and will miss Tom’s loving spirit and his universal sense of humor. Cindy’s words at the funeral summed up the profound effect Tom had on everyone he touched in his life, and his legacy lives on in all of you. My favorite ‘Tom’ story is one I’m sure you have heard many times, so please bear with me: We lived in the house behind the Erdle’s, and Tom was in our home frequently. He especially liked when my sisters and I had girlfriends visiting, Tom delighted in taking a ‘fall’ down the staircase and tumbling to the bottom of the stairs – all the while our friends squealing at the sound and sight. Tom always knew how to make an entrance! (And we always wondered what kind of crazy woman would have him…) Much Love – Sally & Pat

Hey Neighbors, From the very first moment we met Tom we felt welcomed into the neighborhood. There are no words to say how we feel. What if we talked about what we have experienced wtih Tom. Hot Dogs and Hot Sauce, Notre Dame and Football, Golf, The Cottage, St. Stanislaus, Ice Cream, Cocktails that were too strong, Jokes, Stories, Riddles, That Goofy Grin, Always Time for a Big Welcome Greeting, and SNEAKING CRACKERS TO OUR DOGS so they would get in trouble for running out of the yard, Long Conversations, Short Conversations and Advice. We loved to tease Tom because he was so good natured. The world has lost a brilliant story teller. We lost a beloved next door neighbor. Thank God we still have the rest of you.

You are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Tom was probably one of the dearest men I’ve had the pleasure of working with. His kindness, charm and incredibly goofy jokes always had a way to brighten the spirits of every person he walked near. I shall miss him but it gives me great comfort to know that he walks with his Creator because he was a good and kind man with solid values. Thank you for sharing him with us.
