GREECE: Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Predeceased by her husband, Andrew ‘Mickey’ Groetsch; brothers, Raymond Knorr, Al Knorr & Andrew Knorr; Barry McGrane; John Spry. Survived and dearly missed by the families of Terry Spry, Sarah, Kelly & Kate (Greg) Wiley, Pamela (Bob) Widmer, Mark & Matt DeBerger, Michael & Meg McGrane, Maggie & Billy, David McGrane. Friends may call Friday 9:00-10:30 AM at the Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 11:00 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory.
I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to Grace’s family. I remember as a child visiting with her and Mickey with my Grand Parents Ray & June Knorr. All of us along with Grace’s Brother Andy would always enjoy a huge feast, and then watch Lawrence Welk. They were so good to me. While I was home on leave from the U.S. Navy, I visited them with my Mother Gail in my uniform. Mickey really enjoyed the fact that I stopped over in uniform. I also remember how spoiled the Poodle was! God Bless them both. I’m sure Mickey and the rest of the family were waiting for her in Heaven. I recently found an old photo album with several old photos of Grace, Mickey, my Grandfather, and Andy. It brought back nice memories form my childhood.
