I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I do not know Steven or his family. I must extend to you my deepest sympathy. No one can truly understand your sorrow until they have experienced the tragedy of losing a child; It is out of order, difficult to comprehend and accept. We too are suffering the loss of our 28 year unexpectedly on Sept 20; our daughter. Steven’s siblings may benefit from the website adultsiblinggrief.com. Another site that may help is compassionatefriends.com. I am so sorry for your loss. What we hope for is the day/me we will be able to think of our child with JOY instead of this deep pain. I also noticed Steven’s birthday in a few days. We will grieve together. Our girl’s birthday is Dec. 1. We all must ‘survive’ the holidays. Nothing or no one can take our pain away but we must get help to get through it. I hope you will seek help with grief counseling. It will help you to be able to talk about Steven.Distance yourself from those who do not understand your grief. People who tell you to ‘Move On’ don’t know what else to say and we can begin to resent those people. We can not move on until we are ready. We will always feel this loss the rest of our lives but there will come a day when we will feel LESS pain than we do today. I pray for that day for both our families.
Linda & Bob Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Always remember the good times and keep the memories alive in your heart. Blessings and heartfelt sympathy to your family.
