BROCKPORT: Thursday June 7, 2007 at age 88. Frank is predeceased by wife, Sally Schwan of 50 years; sons, Frank Schwan and Mike Spry; daughter, Beverly Flemming; grandson, Bobby Weaver; brother, Paul Schwan; sister, Bernadette O’May, great grand daughter, Sadie Kent. He is survived by this children, Fran (Jim) Kent, Paula (Emil) Weaver, Jennifer (Dave) Allchin, Jamey (Jacquie) Schwan, Jacqueline Spry, Gary Spry, Bill Spry and June (Steve) Thayer; brother, Jacob Schwan; grandchildren, Connie, Steven, Julie, Amy, Sara, Scott, Skip, Melissa, Tina, Chrissy, Billy Jo, Lacie, Dakota, Dave Jr., Heather, Hannah and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Griffin, Siera, James, Seth, Jake, Matthew, Amanda, Christopher, Brandon, Evan, Maya, Quinn, Bucky, Brianna, Kayla, Damian and Tristan. Frank was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He served in the U.S. Army, is a Veteran of World War II and served in the Civilian Conservation Corp before entering the U.S. Army. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post #1183, the Brockport Conservation Club and is a Bronze Star Recipient for ‘Bravery Above and Beyond’. Frank loved life, loved his family and will be greatly missed by all. No prior calling. Friends are invited to join his family, Saturday June 23rd 2 P.M. at the Brockport Conservation Club, 291 LaDue Road, Brockport NY 14420, for a celebration of Frank’s life. Interment held at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make contributions to the NYS Veterans Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020 in his memory.
Fran, Paula & families: Very sorry about your Dad’s passing. I have many fond memories of him (I remember most his HUGE smile & caring, laid-back nature) and I know you miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time of sorrow. I’m glad we stay in touch at the family gatherings. Love Brenda (O’May) Crye
