Greece, NY went home to be with the Lord after a sudden medical emergency on Sunday, August 9th 2026. She was born and raised in Wayland, NY until high school, when her family moved to Groton, NY and she finished up schooling there. Her college career took her through various educational institutions including Marist College, Cortland College, and Thompkins Cortland Community College. After college she worked for various Rochester NY legal firms as a paralegal. Jennifer went on to change career paths to the healthcare industry and was most recently a healthcare information management technician for Rochester Regional Health, which she enjoyed.
Jennifer loved nature, flowers, music, and shopping (boy was she good at finding deals!). She also helped with various activities for her son’s scout troop while he was a scout. Jen was a great friend to many and was always trying to help others.
Jennifer is survived by her husband of 24 years, Jeremy T Boyce and their son, Donovan; her mother, Donna M Zigenfus; her brother, Jeremy Zigenfus, his wife, Jamie Zigenfus, and their children, Jacob and Jillian Zigenfus; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Gene A Zigenfus.
Friends may call Sunday (August 16th) 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626, where her Funeral Service will follow calling at 6:00 PM.
Her Graveside Service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Route 21 at Loon Lake, Wayland, NY 14572 the following Saturday (August 22nd) at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Brain Injury Association of New York State or the American Liver Foundation.
Jen, you cared so deeply about people. Your heart was truly one of the biggest, and your kindness was something you didn’t just talk about—you lived it.
When my dad died, you called me multiple times. I didn’t want to talk, but you were persistent. When I finally answered and we talked, it helped more than you probably ever knew. That was who you were. You showed up. You cared. You loved people, especially when they needed it most.
I hope I can carry a little of that forward and share the same kindness and love with others that you so freely shared with all of us. Thank you, Jen. I am so grateful that our paths crossed and that I had the privilege of knowing and working with you.
My heart breaks for your husband, your son, your mom, your brother, and all of your family and friends. I will be praying for them, because I know you are okay, but I know they are not okay right now.
I am thankful for the promise that I will see you again, and there is comfort in knowing that you are with your Heavenly Father.
