Mark was an amazing man. My siblings and I called him “dad #2” our whole lives. While we are very sad about his passing, we are grateful for the years we had with him and the love and generosity he always showed us, while also treating us as if we were his kids.

I worked with Mark for 12 years, and in that time he became so much more than a coworker — he was truly an incredible human being. He fought courageously against his diagnosis until the very end, with a strength and determination that inspired everyone around him.
Mark brought so much life to the office every single day. He was known for his sense of humor, his love of good food, and for always making sure everyone around him was having a good time — especially at parties and gatherings. Even during his final days, he was still thinking of others, bringing lunch in for the entire office. That was simply who he was: generous, thoughtful, and caring.
I will truly miss seeing him every day.
I am so sorry that I will be out of town this weekend and unable to attend. My heart is with his family, and they will continue to be in my prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Every year at the annual RE/MAX Red Wing night Mark, his wife, and his grandchildren would sit behind my family and I. That game will be in 2 days. I will miss seeing him behind me. I’ll have an ice-cream cone in his honor. May you rest in peace Mark.

Mark was a good friend to Greg. We spent many Friday nights at dinner with Lillian & our other Budda friends at The Grove or sitting on Jay St at Antonetta’s. Mark & Lillian spent many Christmas Eves at our house & playing cards with the boys into the wee hours. Mark, the Budda Historian as he was fondly known is now with the Buddas that have passed: Greg, Louie, Teddy & the other Friday night dinner crew. He will be in heaven leading a rousing song of “And we drank Drambouie on Louie & a boisterous round of the Budda anthem while gathering everyone for a photo. Mark loved his boat, his friends, his family and especially Lillian. RIP Mark & when you see Greg give him a kiss & a hug from me. I’m sure you can get him to sing “My Way”or “New York, New York” while you snap a photo.❤️❤️❤️
