Norman A. Johnson, 65 of Hilton, New York, passed away on May 13th, 2026.
He was born on March 20th 1961 in Rochester, New York to Norman Johnson and Patricia Johnson (Steele).
Norm graduated RIT in 1989 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he later became a licensed Professional Engineer in June of 2013. He was widely recognized for his work on projects around upstate New York during his time at IBC Engineering and M/E Engineering. Norm was known for his strong work ethic, exceptional engineering skills and the friendship and guidance he offered those around him.
In his free time, Norm enjoyed restoring and repairing his various automobiles or tractors and renovating the farmhouse he shared with his wife and children. He was a self-taught craftsman who had a remarkable attention to detail and took pride in every project he started.
Norm was known by his friends and family as dependable, multi-talented and sensitive. He provided those that he loved with un-wavering support. His dry sense of humor, sarcastic personality and staunch opinions will forever be remembered but most of all he was a great husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Norm is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia A. Johnson; his daughters, Amanda K. Johnson and Rachel E. Johnson-Kandefer (Jason); his sisters, Carol Wasilewski (Jerry), Micki Noel (Darin), Jody Reynolds; niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Johnson; mother, Patricia Johnson (Steele); brother-in-Law, Dick Reynolds (Jody).
Friends may call Friday (May 22nd) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 38 East Ave Hilton, New York 14468. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donate Life America. Norm will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
