Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute

Chad Michael Burdick passed away on May 2nd surrounded by his loving family. He was 45 years old. Chad is survived by his parents Stephen and Gloria Burdick, his sister Kelly Burdick. and his daughter Rya Burdick, Chad is also survived by his Aunt Joan and Carol Driscoll; Aunt Gail Cangialosi; his many cousins from the Cangialosi and Fisher families that he loved spending time with (as well as their spouses and children); the Al Burdick family, the Rotach family; and many close friends.

Chad was very close with his sister Kelly (they are only 2 years apart). They could be pretty competitive at games – always trying to beat each other. They enjoyed going to music concerts together and always watched out for each other. Chad also enjoyed spending time with his good friends – playing cards, sports, or listening to music. Also for 12 years his dog Chevy was his faithful companion.

Chad graduated from SUNY College at Brockport with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and a minor in English. The majority of his career was in sales – both inbound and outbound – at several major local companies including Paychex, ADP, and Sutherland.

His biggest passion was being a fan of the Buffalo Bills football team! No one could be a bigger fan of the Bills team than Chad. He knew everything about the team and players and never missed watching a game. The Buffalo Sabres hockey team was his second favorite sports team of course.

But anyone who knew Chad probably most loved his engaging personality. He loved to talk and laugh with other people (from little children to seniors). Chad had a huge loving heart. Despite his medical struggles he would still always help anyone who needed him. He cared very deeply and was very sensitive. We are heartbroken at his loss.

We will be having a celebration of life to gather together and share our fond memories of Chad. There will be no formal funeral service nor immediate burial.

Friends may call Friday (May 15th) 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson Funeral Home, 1075 Long Pond Road, Rochester NY.  If you are not local and cannot attend, we know that he’ll always be in your hearts. He will be greatly missed.
