Michele Ann Day

Brockport, NY, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, April 6, 2026 at age 58, with her husband steadfast by her side.

Born on June 30, 1967, in Cuba, NY, to Cheryl and Richard Whiteman, Michele was known for her open, welcoming spirit and her deep love for her friends and family. Throughout her career with Metal Goods and Lowe’s, she left a lasting impact on colleagues and customers alike with her dependability and kindness.

Michele was the beloved wife of Ken Day, with whom she shared 38 wonderful years of marriage. As a mother and mother-in-law, she was a constant source of love, witty wisdom, and strength. Her greatest joy was found in the presence of her grandchildren and the simple pleasure of relaxing outside by the pool, toes in the sand, surrounded by those she loved most.

She is survived by her husband, Ken Day; her children, Ashley and her spouse Mikeal Gallaway, as well as William Day; and her cherished grandchildren: Scarlett, Austin, Joline, Harper, and Laylon. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Christina, as well as her mother, Cheryl Whiteman. Michele was preceded in death by her father, Richard Whiteman.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Rochester & Finger Lakes Region Chapter, an organization very close to her heart.
