November 5, 2025 at age 93. Carole went home to be with her husband of 72 years, James Kanous; her granddaughter, Krystal Montalvo. She is survived by her children, Michael (Jan), Charene (Terry) Lockhart, Kathleen (Frank) Fox and Karen (Tom) Baier; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Carole enjoyed many years in the 1000 Islands where she loved to play cards and spend time with her family.
Carole’s visitation will be held Sunday, November 16th 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM where her Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral and Cremation Chapels, 1075 Long Pond Road Rochester, NY 14626. Contributions may be made to GrandeVille Senior Living Community 555 Maiden Lane Rochester, New York 14616 in her memory.
