Suzanne T. Lavelle, age 87, passed away peacefully after a short illness and went to Our Lord on September 3, 2025. Suzanne was a devoted sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Lavelle; her daughter, Lisa Lavelle; and her brother, Richard Trox.  She is survived by her loving family: granddaughter, Michele McGinnis (Randy Arno Jr.); great-granddaughter, Alana Arno; son, Richard Lavelle; sister, Beta Flynn; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susan Trox; sister-in-law, Bernadette Trox; as well as her cherished nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Louis) Ansuini, Ellen Flynn, Richard Trox, Cindy (Stuart) Kristensen, and Michael Trox. Suzanne will be remembered as a kind, gracious, and remarkable woman whose warmth and love touched all who knew her.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (Sept 15th) 9:30 AM at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, NY 14616. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

    I’m so sorry to learn of Susie’s passing. She was a very good Nazareth (and maybe Holy Rosary School) friend of my mom Virginia Gordinier (Ginny Johnson) and was in mom’s wedding party in December 1958. She was also the godmother of my brother Bill Johnson in 1961. We saw the LaVelles more often when we were younger. She visited my mom several times with Lisa at the nursing home in Greece. Mom passed away in January…. now they’re together again.
    Such a wonderful person.
