Hilton, NY, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025 at age 91.
Janet lived a long and beautiful life, filled with love, resilience, and kindness that touched everyone around her. She was known for her warm smile, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to family, friends, and her community.
Over the years, Janet embraced life’s simple pleasures such as gardening, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. She had a special way of making people feel welcome and cared for, and she leaves behind cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert Pelcher; her daughter, Diane Destito. Janet is survived by her granddaughter, Valerie (Nick) Petralia; great-grandchildren, Lorenzo & Anthony Petralia, Giavana & Dominic who will carry forward her legacy of love, laughter, and strength.
A private celebration of Janet’s life will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society, Monroe County Chapter in her memory.
Though Janet has left this world, her spirit will remain a guiding light in the hearts of all who knew her.
