Rochester: Called home by the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at age 88. She was surrounded by her loved ones, who cared for her, in her time of need. Predeceased by her husband, John; sons David and Daniel; brothers Kenneth, George, Robert, and James. Survived by her children, Thomas (Kathleen), Patricia (Mark), Susan (Alan) and Sharon; Daughters-in-law, Colleen and Dorothy; Sister-in-law Theresa McCorry; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends, especially Peg Roach. Joan was an alumnus of Our Lady of Mercy High School and a devoted parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
Family and friends may call Monday (July 7th) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (July 8th) at 9:30 AM at Holy Cross Church. Private interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Cross Church in her memory.
