Savitri Ji had a pleasant personality and always had a smiling face. We, both my husband and myself, were fortunate to have tasted her delicious food a couple of times when we visited her home. I specifically liked the stuffed parwal curry she made. She was a good cook.
My deepest condolences to Lal Ji and her children.
    With regards,
    Asha Dehspande

Mama Savitri, you were a special breed: loving, kind, caring, warm, open-handed, nurturing, embracing all and sundry like your own. Feeding people and in a healthy way, was your stock in trade. It was hard for you to take “no” or “I am not hungry” for an answer. You’d just provide alternatives to the food or goody offered. It was shocking and heart-rending to see you fade out in the twinkle of an eye. We loved you, but your Maker loved you best. Rest peacefully in His bosom. Adieu

    My dear friend, Gita,

My heart breaks for you and your family. Losing a mother is one of the hardest things anyone can go through, and I know how much she meant to you. She was such a caring, loving, and welcoming. I still remember when she made Indian’s delicacies for me and asked you to mail them to me.

My sincere condolences to you and your entire family🙏

Such a large loss, Savitri was the true mother to us all on so many levels. A champion of hugs that conveyed so much: acceptance, love, understanding and so much more. Her qualities shine through in her daughter, Gita who has so many qualities of her mother. Rest well Sivitri, Job so well done. And thank you for your most loving hug I have ever had. 🙏

Please forgive me for not posting earlier. But I too was in pain, disbelief and denial also when Manny notified me since she was in the hospital. With my prayers and optimism, I was hoping for a better outcome. I believe she put up a good fight. But she was called to the heavens. These sad chapters of life make us realize our own mortality. I had the pleasure of spending some time with the family and getting to know Mama Prasad an awesome Mother. I remember her great Motherly smile and how she always offered to feed me. Once she commented with smile to Manny that I was a lightweight because I wouldn’t drink the yogurt. Manny agreed. To this date still laugh out loud. I have many fond memories. With that said as long as one is in your heart they will always be. Mama Prasad is not gone she’s just on vacation. My deepest condolences to all the family, especially my brother from other Mother Manny………My sincerest sentiments…… Rich
