Rochester: Gregory Halpin, “Greg” (McCarthy), age 71 passed suddenly on Friday, March 28th, 2025. Greg was born in Rochester, New York on March 3rd, 1954. He was an active member of St. Charles & Sacred Heart church. He enjoyed watching lots of sports. Greg conquered many challenges he faced in life & valued spending time with his family. Predeceased by his parents Joseph D.& Mary C. McCarthy, two brothers, Jeffery & Kevin McCarthy. He is survived by his only son, Victor McCarthy; stepdaughter Tonja Evans; twin sister, Anne McCarthy; sister, Kathryn Ahern & husband Mike, Brian McCarthy & wife Gail, Leo McCarthy & wife Faith, Michael McCarthy & wife Nadine, & numerous nieces & nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday (April 9th) 4-6 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday (April 10th) 9:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Greg was a wonderful man and was always willing to help anyone needing it. He was kind, loyal and loving. He was so proud of Victor and Larry ved him very much. His strong spirit and kind heart will be missed. Rest in peace Greg
