Rochester, NY: Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Mary is predeceased by husband, Joseph in May, 2004. Survived by her adoring children, Stephen Alarie, Mary Jo Samuels, (Late William S. Samuels IV), Linda (Bill) Altpeter, Joseph II (Sylvia) Alarie, Amy Alarie; Cherished grandchildren, Caitlin Altpeter, Shannon Altpeter, Kelsey Altpeter, Shannon Samuels, Joseph Alarie III, Cassidy Alarie; sister, Ann Cross. We will miss her so. She was Witty & Pretty, Warm & Loving, Artistic and Delightfully Creative. She will always hold an UNRIVALED place in our Hearts. At her request, there will be no calling hours. The funeral service will be private. Anyone wishing to honor her memory could surprise someone with an unexpected act of Kindness.

  1. All I can say is that Mary was one of the happiest, nicest, and sincere people I have ever met! She was always full of joy and was always smiling. That’s the way I will always remember her. She will be missed and my prayers go out to my family members who I know feel this loss deeply. Thinking of all of you! Love you!

  7. How truly saddened I was to read of Aunt Mary’s passing and Uncle Joe’s passing too. She had a vibrant personality with a wonderful hearty laugh. She was so creative and artistic! We had many memorable family gatherings back in the day and she was always the life of the party. My deepest sympathies to the whole family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  8. I am beyond sad to have read of Mary’s passing. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to see her recently. She has the most amazing spirit!!! Her home was as beautiful as she . The few times I was at her home, she always spoke of her children and grands. An amazing woman that will be missed . I will do as she requests and ‘play it forward’ for someone. Peace to all of you.
