Hilton:  Suddenly, Friday, August 21, 2020 at age 67 went home to be with her parents, Ludwig and Betty Gogol; brother, Michael Gogol.  She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Thomas Mooney; her devoted daughters, Kelly (Jack) Palmeri and Kassandra Maxim; pride and joy, grandchildren, Luciana, Brady, Alessandra and Maverick; siblings, Susan Chamberlin, Paul (Janet) Gogol and Arlene (Phil) White; many loving nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Kathleen was a retiree of the Greece Central School District where she taught for 34 years.  She taught kindergarten through sixth and loved her students as if they were her own.  She enjoyed traveling, endless lunches and dinner dates with friends, book club, card club, casino trips, painting and being creative. Kathy’s greatest pride was her children but especially her grandchildren.  There was nothing she loved more than spending time with them; reading, snuggling, and laughing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Kathleen’s visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26th 4-8 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 27th at 11:00 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Live streaming for Kathy’s service will be available.

  20. I had the privilege of getting to know Kathleen and her husband at library story time with their beautiful grandchildren. Her love and devotion to them was so evident in the way she cared and interacted with them. She sang countless songs and read countless stories and was a wonderful role model. What a wonderful human being she was! I will miss seeing her and my heart goes out to your family. You will be in my prayers.

  26. I remember teaching with Kathy at Greece Central and then met up with her again at story times at the library. What a wonderful grandma she was! She loved spending time with those grandbabies. I am so sorry for your loss.
