Joseph R. Smith

Rochester: February 2, 2014 at age 88. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Irene (James) Hurd; sons, Robert (Donna) Smith & David (Dee) Smith; grandchildren, Debra, Timothy, Chad, David, Michael & Michelle; great-grandchildren, Joseph (Libby), Christian, James, Celena, Steven, Colin, Grace & Lauren; many dear friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Anne Marie Smith. Joseph is retired from Eastman Kodak Company and is a proud Veteran of the United States Army. Joseph's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Karlic, his primary care physician, Dr. Jain, his neurologist and the entire dialysis staff at Unity Hospital for their excellent care they have given to Joseph. The family also thanks the aides and staff of the Hamlet, who gave their father a loving and caring environment for over 5 years. Joseph's visitation will be held Wednesday, February 5th, 4-7 P.M. at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 7 P.M. in Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held privately in Falls Cemetery.
