Florence Patricia Michaloski (Sawenco)

Florence passed peacefully in her sleep on October 19, 2023. She was 92 years old.

She was preceded in death by loving husband John L Michaloski, middle son Craig T Michaloski,

granddaughter Amy L Michaloski and precious infant great granddaughter Delaney Jane Wolf.

Florence is survived by eldest son Mark Michaloski, youngest son Shawn Michaloski (Patricia) and Kathy Pearson (Michaloski) and grandchildren Cary Michaloski (Kiersten), Matthew Michaloski (Tabitha), Megan Fredendall (Dan), Margo Schneider (Jon), Jill Wolf (Jeremy) and Joseph Michaloski as well as nine great grandchildren.

Florence was as loving, caring, friendly and generous a soul as you could ever meet. Everyone was welcome at Flo’s house. Countless people called her “Granny”.

A marvelous and loving role model who was willing to set you straight, if needed, but never in a cross way.

She instilled pride in family history and Polish traditions, and was a marvelous cook, especially with Polish cuisine.

Grandkids could always count on Granny to be in attendance at recitals, sports games, graduations, you name it, she was there.

Flo loved traveling and loved music, especially playing the piano. She was an avid golfer and bowler. Florence and John were charter members of St. Lawrence Parish.

Her professional career included working for the Board of Education, Cardinal Mooney High School, and Spencerport Central School District. She also loved volunteering, such as Geva Theatre and Cobblestone Home Tours, St. Peter’s Kitchen and various church functions.

Flo must have secretly owned a Hallmark franchise as she was constantly sending cards to mark momentous occasions, not just for immediate family, but for extended family and friends and their extended families. She also kept the local Starbucks in business.

Her loving, kind and friendly soul will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Friends may call Monday (Oct 23rd) 4-7 PM at Vay-Schleich and Meeson, 1075 Long Pond Road.  Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (Oct 24th) 9:30 AM at St. Lawrence Church.  Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the ALS Association in her memory.
