Henrietta – Friday, November 22, 2019 at age 91. Predeceased by his son Ronald Van Gelder. Survived by his loving wife, Betty L. Van Gelder; his children, Richard E. Jr. (Jerrie) Van Gelder, Gloria Van Gelder and Shari (Thomas) Allston; daughter-in-law Malissa Van Gelder; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Center Church, 5604 Big Tree Rd., Lakeville, NY 14408 at 2:30 PM. Interment in Pleasant Valley Cemetery will be held private for the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Rochester & Finger Lakes Region in his memory.

  4. Dear Jerrie, if you are the Jerrie who went to Churchville Chili high school,I am sorry about your Dad. If you are him, I lost track of you after Vietnam and tour subsequent marriage to Lynn. I still keep in touch with Gail Goodrich Tobin. I got married the week after you in 1968, if this is indeed you. I have been looking for you for years, but am not good with computers.
